Thursday night we surprised my 9 month preggo BFF with dinner & girls night… to try to take her mind off the fact that she was STILL preggo and miserable. We had dinner & dessert, made cookie dough to freeze AND her husband brought her push present (a beautiful dining room table he had made her!).
The night was so much fun and when I left I remembered I hadn’t taken a picture of her (which I always do, just in case) so I turned around and went back and got this beautiful photo.

This is the last photo of her preggo because she went into labor 8 hours later. She called me at 5:45am the next morning (I was on my way to my morning run) and I screamed into her poor ear while she tried to breathe through a contraction. I did my morning run, showered & went to straight to the hospital. Where the poor thing labored for 16 hours (pushing for 4!!) before she delivered the most adorable baby boy. Brodie Liam weighed 8lbs 13.5 ounces and was 22 inches long. I immediately fell in love. I am still in awe of the strength Lindsay showed on Friday!

Saturday morning I was up & at ‘em for my 6:30am run with the girls. If it wasn’t for them I would’ve run a few miles and called it quits to I could hurry up and go see Brodie again. Luckily, they pushed me on (I mean Lindz probably wouldn’t have appreciated me showing up at the hospital at 7am haha). We did a great 8.5 mile run and got some good girl talk time in.
Then it was off to see Lindz & baby Brodie. I finally got to fully see the head of hair that kids has… WOW! He’s so handsome! After a quick visit, I headed home to get ready for my (early) birthday party at the river. It was amazing (with amazing food & drink). Then it was home to get cleaned up then out to dinner and the bar with friends for more celebrations. It was a blast, but I am not as young as I once was!

Sunday morning I was too exhausted and was not feeling the best, so I skipped my AM run. I caught up on some sleep and then we met my parents to head to Nelson County for some brewery visits. Sunday was my stepdad’s birthday so we did joint b-day celebrations! We went to Devil’s Backbone for lunch and beer and then Blue Mountain Brewery for beer & dessert.

I had the worst belly ache of my life Sunday night from eating and drinking things I normally do not. This morning I tried for my normal AM run (alone since my normal running buddy is at training this week) but I had the worst arch pain of my life. I’m hoping it’s the heels I wore Saturday and Sunday. I took my shoes off 3 times and adjusted but still nothing! I finally gave in a 1.5 miles and went home to do crunches/pushups/arms. I’m hoping for a much better run tomorrow!
