Glimmers of a Previous Life...

There are times now when I see a glimmer of our old life. Our life before tragedy turned everything upside down. When I see those glimmers - I hold onto them. Hold onto them as hope that one day those glimmers will become entire days... and then one day maybe those glimmers will be real life once again.

I know that life will never be the same... that possibility ceased to exist October 14, 2009. But I do hope that this hole in our hearts will heal enough to allow us to really experience happiness again. I know it will forever be different without Angela - those great times will always bring her to our minds -- because we wish that she was here to share in the happiness...


This week Andy celebrated his 23rd birthday... his first birthday since losing Ang. I'm hoping that the first birthday was the hardest and that somehow each one will get a little easier.

We had a belated birthday celebration at our favorite little restaurant on the Wharf in downtown Staunton ~ the Bistro! We also ran into some awesome friends (Chris & Courtney) which made the night even better!!

Glimmers of our previous life give me hope... hope for happiness... and laughter. lots of laughter.
