We love Netflix, TV Blinkx and Hulu.
I love Jen, but i haven't really enjoyed her in a good movie in a long time. Heck, has she really done anything great since Friends? Yes, the Break Up is an awesome move... but as Andy pointed out to me "thanks to Vince Vaughn". The Bounty Hunter was okay... thanks to Gerald Butler (love him!). I didn't see Love Happens, but I'm pretty sure the 2 minutes I watched of the trailer summed it up. He's Just Not That Into You was a great movie - thanks to the amazing cast full of people I love! Marley & Me... okay, good movie, Jen you weren't so bad yourself (Marley, I love you). I hated Along Came Polly. Okay, I think you get the point. Jen, you should have tried to get a few more seasons of Friends (or 10).
But the Switch was different. I expected it to be another typical so-so Jennifer Aniston movie. Andy expected to play on the IPad the entire time.... we were both wrong. We really enjoyed the movie. IF you decide to watch it, don't read what it is about. Don't watch a trailer. They all give away too much(***). I knew what it was about and Andy didn't and it made it much more enjoyable for him for the first 20 or 30 minutes of the movie.
*** Andy refuses to watch the previews for TV shows because they give away too much (why should I watch 3 minutes of a 22 minute TV show as a preview?). Sometimes he'll watch a trailer for a movie and say I think I just watched the entire movie (or say that after we see the movie and realize everything we just saw was summarized nicely in the 3-4 minute trailer). You know what? He is right. PLEASE movie producers stop pointing ALL of the good parts in the trailer!
UPDATE: My mom brought over my new Entertainment Weekly today --yes, I've been living here almost a year and mom still brings my mail over once a week... and I never even attempt to correct it, opps-- anywho as I sat here reading it I came across an article titled "In Defense of The Switch". Turns out the movie came out last August and Entertainment Weekly just happened to do an article this week defending it as a good movie... hmmm I think this means I'm slightly hip and should be writing for EW... a stretch? yeah maybe. But know that both myself and EW has endorsed the movie, you should go watch it!
