First off, let me thank you all for your sweet words & prayers last week. Getting through the hurdle of one year was a reminder of everything we have been through over the last year. But ultimately I let it be a reminder of how far we have come & a reminder of the good times w/ Ang. Thanks to my friends and family for the love <3.
Onto today's growing up post.
Yesterday I (well we, but of course Andy did not accompany me for the trip) purchased this baby:
Yep. We bought a Dyson. The Dyson DC25 All Foors Bagless Upright Vacuum to be exact.
My "little vacuum that couldn't" has been with me since my first apartment in college. Mom & I bought it at walmart. I think I used it a handful of times the entire year I lived in that first apartment. I know, disgusting, please don't judge. {side note: feel free to come visit our house, we vacuum much more often than that... i promise}. My rare vacuuming probably caused my vacuum the issues that it has today because I overloaded that poor thing when I did use it. I sucked up more hair (I shed worse than our dogs) with that vacuum. And never emptied the canister. And when we moved into our house back in April mom showed me that there are filters you are supposed to wash.... OH, so I had never done that. And we used that vacuum in our townhouse {much more than I did in my old apartment}. Opps.
So yesterday mom and I went to my favorite store on earth... Target (!!!) with the mission to purchase this beast. Well actually all I knew was I was purchasing a Dyson, unsure of which model.
They ended up having 5 different versions. I had forgot the consumer guide magazine at home so I called Andy and a 15 minute conversation ensued. During which I begged and pleaded for the purple animal dyson but it was not one of the "all floors" vacuums and Andy insisted on being rational (considering we have hard wood floors in 50% of our house, this was probably a good decision). I really did want a purple vacuum though.
I am excited to test this baby out. I'm going to vacuum with the old vacuum, then try out this one behind it. Granted it will probably take me 2 hours to figure this out because {true story} there were 5 of us adults trying to figure it out in the store and a KID had to figure it out/show it to us. WOW.
I'll let you know how it works and if it is a keeper!
HA, I'm laughing right now b/c I did a post on our Dyson when we got one as well! So funny. :) Welcome to the Dyson family!
