Let's see, the last time I updated was the day after closing... does this say anything about what home ownership is like? hahaha.
Recap:
Close @ attorney's house. Go to new house. Me: "Let's take those ugly shampoo/conditoner/soap dispensers down out of the shower." Andy: "Ok." Me: That's weird that they mounted a tile on the fiberglass shower to hang the dispenser on." Andy: {removing the tile} "ohhh that's why" - {insert big hole in shower wall}. Me: {tears}
Granted this was after a few other incidents that lead me to believe I should call the lawyer Friday morning and try to get out of this whole home buying thing. Andy {thankfully} hugged me while I cried and said as always "don't worry" & "it'ss ok" --- {even if I should worry and it's not okay, he still always says this}.
Next morning I went into to work for Friday morning sales training and my great co-workers helped me realize it would be okay and I shouldn't try to unsign my closing documents {possible? I have no clue but I was going to do it, haha}.
Friday every vendor we hired came out and our place was hopping {empty, but hopping!}. We were blessed because we had great guys who were really friendly -- Scotty @ Water Works was my favorite. I really want to invite him to bring his boxer over to play. He seriously fit our joking/sarcastic humor to the T. And since he's a boxer lover, he was my new best friend. Which reminds me - my awesome mom & sister got this bumper sticker for me...
Okay, so I am NOT a bumper sticker person {I once purchased a new car and one of my stipulations was they could not put their Dealer Sticker on the back of the car... c'mon you're not putting your white sticker on the back of my black car!}. But I seriously FREAKED over this sticker. And it is now on my back windshield of my car! I LOVE IT.
Oh so back to the house. Friday evening our awesome family helped us clean {extreme clean - my nephew was IN the cabinets cleaning them and Andy's stepdad was shampooing}. Saturday we moved furniture... err I mean Andy and his band of brothers {haha I mean stepdad, best friend & cousin} moved while the women put {or attempted to put} everything away. And by Saturday night we were staying there. Since then we've been taking it one project at a time to get everything in it's place. We are almost there but then the projects/to-dos will pile up of all the things we want to do! Although it's had it's rough times {don't even get me started on Bath Fitters and my sleepless night from stress} -- in the end we are very proud homeowners. Now come over and visit us soon!
xoxo
